HERBAL REMEDIES FOR CANCER: BEDSTRAW (GALIUM APARINE, GALIUM VERUM OR GALIUM MOLLUGO)
Bedstraw is commonly referred to as goosegrass, clivers or cleavers. All three varieties of bedstraw carry similar medicinal properties. Bedstraw tea is most famous as a remover of toxic wastes, enhancing detoxification through the liver, kidneys, pancreas, spleen and most importantly, the body’s lymphatic system. A healthy lymphatic system is an integral key to maintaining strong immunity.
It has been noted that rinsing with and drinking bedstraw tea may be an excellent remedy for cancer of the tongue, just as the freshly pressed juice mixed with butter can be a remedy for cancerous growth and cancer-like skin disorders. In Maria Treben’s famous book, Health Through God’s Pharmacy, numerous real-life accounts of people healing themselves of cancer of the tongue and tumours in the larynx are offered.
The fresh juice of bedstraw and calendula ointment has been used successfully in folklore medicine, in the healing of malignant skin disorders.
Often bedstraw is combined with other blood-cleansing herbs such as yarrow, stinging nettle, calendula and dandelion.
